Greg Hunt

Melbourne virtuoso strings player Greg Hunt has been playing violin, mandolin and mandola for over 30 years.  He has established a deserved reputation as one of Melbourne’s premiere live and session players. He is just as much at home in a classical recital as he is at a folk festival or playing bluegrass or country.

Having played with the Ploughboys, Celtic City Sons, Shanakee, Maria Forde  Hillbilly Radio and Liminality and supporting internationally acclaimed artists such as Altan to name but a few, Greg has graced the stages of major festivals, concert halls and venues throughout the world and has performed on many albums over the years.

Greg has a longstanding musical career with RRR’s Ian Bland and this year for the first time will be accompanying Irish expat, Melbourne’s much loved Enda Kenny in a double bill on Tuesday April 9th  7.30pm as part of Kitchen Ballads and Backyard Verse…
